It drives me nut when people criticize Brad Pitt's Patois in this scene. His Patois was just fine. He played death beautifully, with his quiet & strong magnetism, his acting was mostly with his eyes & subtle gestures. The Jamaican actress who played the dying woman Lois Kelly Miller taught him how to speak Patois. She also lived a long life till 102 years old, which was 20 more years after this film. She did a wonderful job in this short scene.
