The wide receivers were crushing backers and safeties in run blocking too.

Yes sir. They have a group of absolute dawgs all around. Loveland, Kmet, Raymond, Rome, Burden were all blocking their tails off.

I can’t say enough good things about 73 and 58. They just displace ppl. If you are an IDL and you’re getting combo blocked by them just let it happen man😂

They had 550 yards and put up 59 points and there is still a good amount of meat left on the Bone too 😭

Did this against Derrick Brown and a decent defense overall

Lloyd had a nightmare debut. They were taking him out at the second level.

I believe this says more about the Bears than Lloyd tho but maybe I’m wrong

Agreed. They get to the 2nd level so fast.

Do you think this offensive line play can be replicated for the entirety of Ben’s tenure in Chicago or does the personnel play too much of a role? For example if Thuney retires or Wright retires, can Ben find/develop guys to be just as efficient? Is there an example of this sustained success in the league

I think Ben has a special eye for the position and knows how to maximize these guys. Jonah Jackson was not good in Los Angeles. And he looks like a top guard here in Chicago. Ben is just one of one when it comes to drawing stuff up in the run game and bringing out the strengths of his offensive line, while hiding their weaknesses. Special mind. I don't know if they'll always be the best. But I would bet for his tenure in Chicago they will always be in that first or second tier.

Remember when people were speculating a drop off because of Bradbury? The best compliment you can give a center is you forgot about him. Didn’t think about him once all game.

So now you think Swift is better than Gibbs? Sheesh… your takes are ice cold.

omg. It’s ok to acknowledge Swift plays really, really, really well within this scheme & that doesn’t mean he’s a superior raw talent to Gibbs It’s also ok to say Swift is looking the best he’s played & that still doesn’t mean he’s got the elite raw talent of Gibbs People read into things that you aren’t saying In fact you said nothing at all about either 😭 Why is this hard

Ignoring that haha. Swift played excellent. His vision has gotten so much better since his Detroit days, he was a tackle machine yesterday and he looks explosive as he has ever looked. And I think most importantly, his pass protection looked fantastic yesterday. Excellent job by Poles locking him up for a few years.

The indicators are always there with Ben Johnson. What a fantastic offensive mind can do with talent in the right schemes. His last match against the panthers he scored 42 with 6.3+ yards per/offensive play, and did it without Gibbs/ARSB (as lions OC)

Are you worried about the panthers defense bears are an elite offense but 59 points yikes

It didn't look good man I'll be honest. Lack of discipline and awareness from multiple guys on the Bears blocking absolutely devoured them because of that and the fact that they're the best unit

True but the backs help a lot. They hit every hole so quickly l.
