the thing that makes the argument compelling is not the strength of the claims. it's the honesty about their limits

jeff dean can say coding is dead, hes earned it. but my claude code still asks which ticket to pick first. deciding what to build is still the job. writing boilerplate was never the hard part.

Deploying isn't the hard part anymore, deciding what's worth deploying is. Jeff Dean's right about who writes the code, but 'humans just approve' is still doing the heaviest lifting in that loop.
