Chiefs drop back passing game. What do you see?

The middle of the field is open. It wasn’t like this last year.

Mostly clean pockets. Trey and Benson get beat but often, there is 3 yards of clean grass around Pat.

Mahomes trusting protection which has helped cleanup his footwork.

I see Benson is our LT1 I also see dropped passes I also see Pat looks amazing Thornton is WR1

Feels like Pat isn’t creating his own pressure, he’s standing in the pocket very confidently

Mahomes has actually done a much better job of trusting his lineman to block he used to be a big time drifter. Instead he’s helping his tackles especially by trusting them to block and leaving the pocket when needed.

That the league is on notice

Worthy getting annihilated

Benson handling his own not playing LT in his life 😭😭😭

Worthy has no purpose. Can't beat people in space. Doesn't run good routes. Speed is irrelevant because he can't track a deep ball. Thornton is a better deep threat, let him play that role and bring in Cyrus as a man beater and chain mover.

O line had a few rough reps but seems like Pat already has way more confidence in the pocket with this group than he did last year. Not just instantly looking to bail.

Benson holding up on an island?

the right side of line is a bigger issue than the left. Mahomes stayed in the pocket. receivers cant separate. dropped passes. Colts shut down Mahomes scrambling. a hard fought battle in the trenches.

Benson not getting hardly any help/chips this week and for the most part holding up well giving Mahomes time in the pocket or the option to roll right. To me, quite impressive for someone that hasn’t played LT since High School.

lots of phantom pressure zone blitzes and stunts/twists. The OL *usually* picked them up capably. Benson took handoffs from the LG well.

Confident, patient Patrick. A pocket. Boners.

On the second play Thornton is streaking down the middle of the field against a linebacker with no safety help. How was that not the throw?

I see that rice should’ve got more targets in the middle of the field like more crossing routes

Mahomes not taking 15 yard drop backs

The ball is out quick. 2-3seconds & it’s gone.

🤔... a clean pocket and improved LT play since last week..???

Benson looks solid and Mahomes trusts the OLine.

Moore is way worse at RT than Benson is at LT

Worthy physically incapable of catching passes that hit his hands

Looks like Pat is staying in the pocket more and setting his feet before he throws.

i see benson playing pretty damn well for a udfa's second game

They're almost getting home by only rushing four defenders

Mahomes is Caleb Russell Wilson 1 read QB All schemed Either a schemed 1st read or A scramble At best He takes a checkdown if the 1st isn't there Ain't no reading of the defense here A paint by numbers offense Below average but ELITE tools QB God calling plays Decent cast as well

Clean pocket.

A pocket and the presence

what am I supposed to see?

2 things. - Mahomes trusts his OL - Benson may be a dude.

A clean pocket

Mahomes is still unsure of his pocket protection and doesn't seem to be able to ease himself into these throws, most are great cause he's Mahomes but I'd like him to be able to sit in the pocket with a bit less worry. The colts pass rush was phenomenal last night and made work.
