After the Texans moved to Kansas City to become the #Chiefs in 1963, Dawson parlayed his celebrity into broadcasting ventures, becoming sports director at KMBC-TV in 1966. He would go on to become the AFL's all-time passing leader, guiding #ChiefsKingdom to two more AFL titles, an appearance in Super Bowl I, and an MVP performance in their Super Bowl IV victory. Dawson later worked as an NFL color analyst for NBC television and the Chiefs Radio Network, as well a 25-year stint as co-host of HBO's "Inside The NFL".
