I’m often reminded of Masque, a lesser known X-Men villain. Born hideous, he gained the power to warp anyone else’s face and body into grotesque shapes. His own remained frozen in deformity. Unable to fix himself, he turned to deforming others instead. He resented beauty and took pleasure in forcing the world around him to match his ugliness. That same pattern drives certain leftist circles today. They celebrate self deformation as empowerment. They push drugs and mutilation on confused children. They redefine beauty around dysfunction. They tear down standards in art, cities, and culture then label the resulting decay as progress. The psychology is pretty much identical. Those who cannot or will not pursue beauty or order drag everything down to their level. They uglify themselves, others, and their societies, cities, and environments while calling it liberation. But Masque never hid his ill psychology behind bs ideology.
