‘Chimptopia’ creator Robby (Robby) has apologized following backlash surrounding his Kickstarter project. Robby says the post aimed at ‘Gameoverse’ was meant to spark a “friendly rivalry,” not attack the show, and apologized to Glitch Productions and the Gameoverse team for any offense caused.

He also addressed criticism over merchandise concepts created for a Nick Fuentes-affiliated brand, stating he was unaware of the brand’s views at the time, later declined its internship offer, and does not align with its messaging.

@calmdown_robby I genuinely dgaf about about gameoverse but my genuine is these guys tried so hard to pitch the most generic concept about 3 friends working to pay rent and thought they were so cool and edgy to mock gameoverse for being uninspired

@calmdown_robby There's nothing wrong with some friendly rivalry, but the problem here is that you need to sell the show to the viewers. Save the parody stuff for when you have episodes coming out and it somehow fits in. First impressions matter here.
