China has cracked the code on tiny-home design. Every square metre is thoughtfully planned for privacy, functionality, and beautiful aesthetics. Something many UK and US homes could learn from.

Not a tiny home lol but it’s soooo nice 🔥

Bet

It's great if you need zero storage and you own a single white shirt

You would know.

Japan*

I wasn’t using “tiny home” in the strict sense. I was referring to its narrow footprint. The house is only about 6 metres wide, yet the architects managed to create a home that feels spacious, private, and highly functional. That’s what I found impressive.

tiny home where?

This is very simple and beautiful.

@wi_o_n Yes!

This is Japanese not Chinese. Not tiny. AI posting this? Simple 2 bedroom "townhouse" common in US. About 1300-1500 sq ft. Good design and craftsmanship. Most likely in industrial area based on trucks in back so got the land for cheap and builder spent money to sell the property.

That’s a Japanese house . And that’s normal among Japanese houses in the Kanto region as land is scarce .

Thank you

This is what I consider luxury, especially when compared to what many real estate developers in Nigeria market to their clients. The level of thought put into the design, material selection, and attention to detail is on a completely different level.

#Arquitecura

Thanks, Temo. I wasn’t presenting it as a universal model. I was appreciating the design intelligence behind it. Every project responds to different users, sites, and constraints. Good architecture isn’t about one solution fitting all it’s about choosing the right solution for the brief.

Thank you. I appreciate the clarification, and I completely agree that every project should respond to its users, site, and context. My comment was simply aimed at reminding readers that good design is measured not only by how well it solves today’s brief, but also by how well it adapts to the needs people may have over time. Thanks for the thoughtful exchange.

Can any Nigerian architect draw this out accurately? Any proof of any previous experience or attempts

Easy. The only challenge here is not for the architect, it’s for the occupants. You have to constantly run AC to live comfortably in the house because of our climate. Japan houses tends to use smaller windows as you can see here. You can reach out if this is what’s you want (We can make it suitable for our climate)

I love that it has a lot of places to chill not everyone in one circle I love it

I’m so tired of these “why don’t more Americans do this” or “Americans can learn from this” posts. Do you know why we build the way we do?! Because it’s OUR WAY. No one in the US gives a flyin F about Chinese cheap imitation construction methods…

Nice But the kitchen should stay downstairs

Why do I (or a visitor)need to go through a bedroom before reaching the living room on the upper floor?

What is total square footage of home? Hard to tell from video

About 162 m² / 1,744 sq ft floor area

China. Privacy. I don't know, Rick, it looks fake to me.

Okay, Juan

Hi, got an idea who designed this? Want to see more on their page. Thank you

Search for clasishome

Not for claustrophobic folks though

In what way is this a tiny home?

This looks like a Japanese building style tbh

its quite comfy tho

It is

Optimizing space is an art many architects in my country haven’t mastered.

Selection of material is the very important..

Get your facts right before posting, this is in Japan.

How many floors does this house have ?

Three floors.

This is not a tiny home.

I believe you

You can check for some interesting tiny homes. One of my favourite channels.

Na to remove the office and dinning use am do bedroom

They are doing a lot of things right over there I just can't get on board with the whole totalitarianism thing.

Why does China have empty Mega-Cities and their economy is shit due to the collapse of real estate. Central planners don’t know shit about their economy’s needs .

Why is the shower and full bathroom on the second floor by the kitchen instead of near the rooms on the top floor or the ground floor?

That looks quite spacious for a “tiny” home, IMHO!

Meanwhile "nybygget kollegie" in denmark is the worst freaking use of space ever, its insane how bad it is

日本の住宅だな 日本の住宅だと分かると「狭い家に住むのダサい」てバカにするくせに中国とする場合は意味の有る上質な家になるんだな

What's the estimated amount needed to build such house 🏠 like everything fully furnished...

180k-200k USD
