Subway employee says she’s debunking what you’ve heard on social media about Subway bread She says it’s not made out of ingredients used in yoga mats and shows exactly how the bread is made Some facts about Subway bread - It’s not legally “bread” under Irish law thanks to a 2020 Irish Supreme Court ruling. Irish law defines bread as a staple food with sugar and fat not exceeding 2% of the flour weight; Subway’s bread had approximately 10% sugar by flour weight (5x the limit) - The “sweet smell” comes from that elevated sugar level (10% sugar) which causes noticeable caramelization during baking - Subway bread contained azodicarbonamide in 2014 as a dough conditioner and bleaching agent, which 100% is used in the manufacturing of yoga mats, shoe soles, and synthetic leather

LOL BTW, when it comes to rare earth elements, one thing is almost never mentioned. That is technology. These materials are used in high tech products. That means they have high purity requirements. In a 2015 Bloomberg BusinessWeek story, they interviewed the CEO of the biggest rare earth company outside China, an Australian company. She said that she knew Chinese rare earth companies had more than 100 PHD level researchers. Outside China? Zero. Even if the United States gets the raw materials, can they produce components that meet the technical requirements?

Then our team arrived carrying fresh bread. Children lifted their bags as we began placing fresh loaves into them, one after another. For these families, this was not simply another bread distribution. It meant children could eat. Parents had something to divide among their families. And displaced families could survive another day without going to sleep completely hungry. Project Muhmmed works directly from inside Gaza. Our team purchases the flour and supplies, prepares and bakes the bread, and delivers it directly to displacement camps and families who need it most. This was specific to Irish tax law under Value Added Tax (VAT) regulations, not a global food classification. (It remains legally bread in America because our food standards and regulation agencies are horrible)

In Venice, I stood in front of a marble tablet carved hundreds of years ago that laid out exactly how bread had to be made in this city. They put it in stone because whoever made it understood that if you did not hold the line on something as basic as bread, you would eventually end up with Wonder Bread. They were right. We did. Nabisco and General Mills are not going to love this idea. That is the whole point. We need to get back to marble bread recipes.

Bread in India is a big joke! There are two types of bread in India. One which is openly unhealthy (white bread), and the second type (brown, multigrain, wholewheat) which pretend to be healthy when they are not! Till a few decades ago, bread wasn't as common in India. But now it is commonly used by Indians for breakfast sandwiches, school tiffins, and snacks! If you have 2 slices of bread a day, you have more than 700 slices in a year. Make sure you pick the right one!
