No donor fluids. No foreign proteins. Just my own blood cleaned and returned. This is not new. This device has been used in Japan since the 1980s with published clinical studies dating to 1984. It is an approved medical device used to treat myasthenia gravis, Guillain-Barré syndrome, multiple sclerosis, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, neuromyelitis optica, and NMDA receptor antibody encephalitis. 1/2 Today I completed my second Plasma Adsorption session at Edogawa Hospital in Tokyo under Dr. Kato. 加藤 しょじろ 💯🫶🙌🇯🇵 I want to explain exactly what this treatment is, why it is the most targeted blood filtration available for vax and long COVID injury, and why the options currently available in the United States. While helpful for some, these do not reach the same depth of selective removal and cannot produce the same results. Here is how it works. My blood is drawn out through a catheter in my neck. The plasma is separated from my blood cells and run through a column called the IMMUSORBA TR-350, made by Asahi Kasei Medical in Japan. It is an approved medical device used to treat myasthenia gravis, Guillain-Barré syndrome, multiple sclerosis, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, neuromyelitis optica, and NMDA receptor antibody encephalitis. Every single one of those conditions is driven by the same mechanism destroying vax and long COVID patients — pathological antibodies and immune complexes attacking the nervous system and vascular system. Now here is how it compares to what is available elsewhere. TPE — Therapeutic Plasma Exchang is the closest option available in US hospitals. Your plasma is removed and thrown away, then replaced with albumin solution or donor fresh frozen plasma. The problem is it removes everything indiscriminately — the bad and the good. Your own clotting factors, your beneficial proteins, your healthy antibodies all go out with the pathological ones. INUSpheresis is not yet available as standard clinical practice in the United States, though one clinic is currently participating in an early clinical trial toward FDA approval. H.E.L.P. Apheresis — Heparin-induced Extracorporeal LDL Precipitation — is available in Germany and Cyprus and has been proposed for long COVID. Here is how it works. Blood cells are separated from plasma, heparin is added, and the pH is lowered using an acetate buffer. This causes LDL cholesterol, lipoprotein(a), and fibrinogen to precipitate out and be captured in a filter. The excess heparin is removed, pH is normalized, and the cleaned plasma is returned. It reduces LDL, Lp(a), and fibrinogen by approximately 50-60% per session and has shown benefit for improving microcirculation and dissolving forming microthrombi. It is not available in the United States. The important distinction from PA is that H.E.L.P. works by chemical precipitation and primarily targets lipoproteins and fibrinogen. PA works by molecular affinity bonding and specifically targets pathological antibodies and immune complexes. They are removing different things through completely different mechanisms. Hey, you 🫵🏿🫵🏿 When making Nigerian fried rice, make sure to FRY YOUR RICE with onions, veg oil and unsalted butter (on low heat for about 3-5 mins) before boiling with chicken or turkey stock. Stock not water 🌚 WASH YOUR RICE MULTIPLE TIMES .. AT LEAST 5 TIMES (the plan is to get as much starch out of the rice as possible .. this is to avoid soggy rice). For seasoning, I only use maggi powder (because my stock is well seasoned so make sure yours is too). If you want that yellow / greenish colour, add curry and turmeric powder. Make sure to FRY your veggies. Fry with unsalted butter and vegetable oil. If you’re using shrimp / prawns .. fry, remove and set aside. Do not fry it with your veggies otherwise it’ll become rubbery and hard. Add once rice is done. If you’re adding liver, boil and fry in a separate pan before adding it to your veggies. You can use fresh or frozen veggies (if you’re using frozen, make sure to defrost it first). In my opinion, less is more with fried rice, don’t over complicate it with veggies. Once again, Setara golden basmati rice is your guy (any golden sella basmati rice will do)

This video captures the first flashes of lithium being injected into the #plasma of our ST40 tokamak, marking the start of our exploration into its effects. Why lithium? In fusion research, we aim for H-mode, a high-performance state with improved plasma confinement. Future fusion power plants are expected to operate in this mode. But H-mode brings a challenge: ELMs (Edge Localised Modes) are bursts of energy at the plasma edge, similar to mini solar flares. These can reduce plasma temperature and damage the divertor with intense heat and particles. Pioneering work by PPPL and others has shown that lithium can suppress ELMs and increase energy confinement time, leading to higher temperatures. On ST40, we’re currently injecting lithium powder during plasma shots to explore its effects. As part of our upcoming ST40 LEAPS upgrade – in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy and Department for Energy Security and Net Zero – we’ll go further, coating plasma-facing components with solid lithium using the ‘lithium evaporation’ technique. We’ll be experimentally testing several mechanisms. One key focus is how lithium absorbs hydrogen isotopes and reduces their recycling back into the plasma, lowering the density at the plasma edge, leading to a more stable edge pressure gradient. We’re starting to understand more about lithium’s effect on plasma performance, and early results show lithium isn't getting into the plasma core, which is good news for avoiding diluting the fusion fuel in future plants. The physics is complex, and we’re still learning. But each step brings us closer to fusion energy.
