What I find astonishing, why do we keep pretending that China is stealing technology from the West, yet we haven’t seen anything like this being demonstrated in western nations? That’s a technological marvel to program 8000 drones to carry out such a production. Amazing really.

Ancient civilizations would think we are working miracles…

It's all fun and games until you realize that the technical coordination required for 10K drones to be used for fun displays can just as easily be applied to weaponize them against you.

This is just a ruse of a show that's actually intended to show how more advanced their drone tech is for military purposes.

Imagine how this technology could be used to create convincing illusions of alien warships, easily deceiving the public.

We Chinese love peace. Our advanced drone manufacturing and control technologies are used for peaceful purposes. Of course, when we feel threatened, we might make a little change.😃

That’s just for fun….imagine what they can achieve in War

You may see beauty. I see the next weapons of war. Drones have become the new scourge of the battlefield. Now imagine 1000's of AI drones roaming the fields, hunting down our precious kids.🤬

While the 10,000-drone light show is an incredible display of technological prowess and artistic beauty, it also raises serious concerns. The potential military applications of drone technology are staggering and continue to evolve at an accelerated pace. China’s dominance in this field isn't just limited to spectacular light shows; it represents their capability to produce and deploy advanced drone technologies on a massive scale. Currently, the global drone market is valued at around $30 billion, with military drones accounting for about $13 billion. China leads in both the production and export of these drones, supplying over 70% of the world's civilian drones and holding a significant share of military-grade UAVs. In warfare, drone swarms—like those seen in the light shows—could be used in various offensive and defensive operations. Swarm technology and AI systems allow thousands of drones to operate as a single, coordinated unit, making them capable of overwhelming even the most advanced anti-air defense systems. For example, military experts estimate that a swarm of 1,000 drones could incapacitate a missile defense system, while larger swarms, such as those with 8,000 to 10,000 drones, could theoretically overwhelm multiple military installations simultaneously. Looking ahead, the Chinese military is actively developing larger drones that could carry conventional or more dangerous payloads. Drones like the CH-5 Rainbow, which can carry up to 16 missiles, have an operational range of 6,500 km, showcasing how these systems can be used for long-range strikes. Miniature drones, on the other hand, are being developed to carry small explosive charges or serve as electronic jammers, capable of attacking enemy communication networks. The future applications could include using AI to enable these drones to make real-time decisions during missions, making them even more efficient in evading defense systems. The U.S. and other countries have expressed growing concern about China’s rapid advancements, as it positions itself to deploy drone swarms capable of executing missions with precision and autonomy. China’s dominance in drone technology and its potential military applications aren’t just a theoretical threat; they represent a shift in warfare capabilities that could redefine global power dynamics. This isn’t merely about showcasing technology—it’s about building the capacity to control and influence future conflicts on an unprecedented scale. As mesmerizing as the drone light shows may be, they serve as a chilling reminder of the potential lethality and strategic advantage these swarms could wield in combat.
