China’s car industry “imploding” with 400 car companies already gone. Just 2 are making money. China juiced fake GDP with trillions in handouts — ramping it up after Trump’s tariffs. It turns out they bought the growth. And now they’re selling it for scrap.

“China’s car industry “imploding” with 400 car companies already gone.” This is how they develop their industries. It’s a form of Hunger Games. “It turns out they bought the growth. And now they’re selling it for scrap.” It’s undoubtedly the largest economy on the planet.

Couldn't happen to a nicer group of totalitarian central planners. Remember all the pundits who touted the Chicoms as the way and never listen to them again.

This is not about running out of money. This is China's approach to capitalism: Jump-start 400 companies, let them build products and then let the best 2 win and all others go bust. This was the plan all along. And it was not even secret

China’s auto collapse proves you can’t fake innovation with handouts and tariffs. Real growth comes from market-driven leadership, not government cash giveaways. Selling scrap now is the bill for decades of swamp-style economic distortion. Free markets crush fake GDP every time.

Wow that’s a serious collapse. I also heard that for all the touted electric vehicle innovation they are supposed to be doing there that Tesla is once again the top selling electric car there

Now it makes more sense why I saw EVs for $12k in Costa Rica which usually has car prices at least 10k above US prices.
