The Dark Economics Behind China’s High-Speed Rail ‘Miracle’ - The Ponzi Scheme of Chinese HSR. China’s High-Speed Rail: The Land Scam Hiding in Plain Sight. China built the world’s largest high-speed rail network—over 45,000 kilometers long. On the surface, it looks like a triumph of modern infrastructure, a symbol of national pride, and a bold flex from the Communist Party. But here’s the truth the CCP won’t tell you: China’s high-speed rail isn’t about transportation—it’s about real estate. In this video, I expose the hidden logic behind China’s high-speed rail boom. While the world marvels at the sleek trains and endless tracks, what’s really happening behind the scenes is a massive land finance scheme—a capital game where officials and developers cash in, while ordinary people foot the bill. Forget everything you’ve been told about Chinese efficiency or technological superiority. The real engine driving this overbuilt system is land speculation, local government debt, and a political culture addicted to GDP hype. I break it all down with personal stories, hard numbers, and blunt truth.

China’s High-Speed Rail Disaster in Indonesia — Another “Belt and Road” Trainwreck. China promised Indonesia a “high-speed miracle.” What Jakarta got instead was a $7 billion debt trap on rails. In this video, I break down how China’s Jakarta–Bandung bullet train — once hailed as Southeast Asia’s pride — turned into a financial disaster. From empty seats and ballooning costs to hidden political strings, this is the shocking story of how Beijing’s Belt and Road dreams became Indonesia’s economic nightmare.

This is the Nanjing South Railway Station in Jiangsu — one of Asia’s largest high-speed railway stations. High-speed rail, metros and buses all connect here, creating the fast-paced rhythm of a modern city and reflecting the modernization of China’s high-speed rail network.

Passenger rail travel in American should be so much better. I rode the Senate train to talk with @repmoulton about his bill that I'm co-sponsoring—the American High-Speed Rail Act—and what high-speed rail could do for this country and regions like ours in Western PA.

China’s GDP Is a Lie. The People Are Broke. On paper, China in 2025 looks unstoppable. Provinces like Jiangsu and Inner Mongolia boast sky-high GDP. State media brags about “high-quality development.” And cities like Beijing and Shanghai look like futuristic marvels. But the truth? Most Chinese citizens aren’t getting richer. They’re getting squeezed. In this video, I reveal the hidden collapse behind China’s glowing economic stats. From rising middle-class debt to collapsing poor provinces, this video shows how China’s GDP miracle is a mirage — and how the system is cracking beneath the surface. I’ve walked the streets of Nanjing. I’ve spoken with engineers buried in mortgage debt and coal miners in Ordos earning pennies while local governments rake in billions. And I can tell you: GDP ≠ prosperity. The people are being left behind. And the illusion is finally breaking.

WOW 🚨 There is no greater proof the California High Speed Rail project is a scam than this right here The High Speed Rail track is planned to go right through this land. It’s been so long that HOUSING DEVELOPMENTS are being built, because it’s likely never going to happen Again, - The High-Speed Rail Authority has a planned track right through this land - Because it’s been so long, the city approved Lennar’s housing map over the High-Speed Rail agency’s objection Meaning, it’s all a scam. This is the Gossamer Grove development in Shafter, north of Bakersfield. Lennar is moving ahead with about 1,250 homes on land the California High-Speed Rail Authority says is on the approved alignment The housing development was approved in May 2026 because it became clear the high speed rail was never going to happen and housing is more of a priority

China Has 50 Million Homeless. Yes, FIFTY MILLION. China claims it eliminated poverty. But the reality on the ground is far darker. While Western media obsess over homelessness in LA or San Francisco, no one’s talking about China’s own homeless population, which is as high as 50 MILLION. In this video, I break down the ugly truth about mass homelessness in China with hard data, real examples, and firsthand experience from my time living there. From ghost cities full of empty apartments to migrant workers crammed into unsafe slums, this is the story of human wreckage in the shadow of skyscrapers.

Today marks the start of China’s annual Spring Festival travel rush, known as Chunyun. Over the next 40 days, the railway system is projected to handle 539 million trips, making it the largest periodic human migration in history. For at least three millennia, the Spring Festival has been China’s most significant holiday. “Going home for the family reunion” has become a deeply ingrained cultural expectation. About a quarter of China’s population consists of floating residents who live or work outside their registered hometowns, often in other cities or provinces. For them, rail travel is the preferred option, given that nearly every Chinese city with over 200k residents is connected by rail, not to mention the advantages of speed, affordability, and frequent services. The Spring Festival travel rush poses severe challenges to China’s public transportation system, especially its high-speed rail system. In 2008, a rare snowstorm hit the typically mild southern regions during the holiday, stranding 400k people at Guangzhou station for 11 days. This incident underscored the urgency for the government to accelerate high-speed rail development. Since then, China’s high-speed rail network has drawn lessons from daily operations, refining timetables and introducing new trains to prioritize safety, punctuality, and comfort. Today, amid hundreds of millions of passengers, the on-time rate during Chunyun reaches 99%, with no major accidents reported. In reality, China’s high-speed rail program started late and lacked any initial global advantages. During a visit to Japan in 1978, then China’s top leader-to-be Deng Xiaoping boarded Shinkansen and expressed admiration for the bullet train, remarking that it “urges China to run faster.” It took another 30 years for China to launch its first high-speed rail line, connecting the capital Beijing to Tianjin, with a distance comparable to New York to Philadelphia. By the end of 2025, China’s high-speed rail mileage exceeds twice the combined total of all other countries, enough to circle the equator 1.25 times. This expanded network meets the demands of a growing number of passengers, supported by features like mobile apps and real-name ticketing, which have put an end to the need to queue overnight at ticket counters as was routine decades ago. However, during Chunyun’s peak periods—such as the first and last days of the holiday—travelers still need to snap up tickets swiftly. Thus, for longer distances, many choose flights; others prefer the greater flexibility of self-driving, which has become the primary mode of transportation.

This is spot on from Peter Hitchens on #HS2 "It was a stupid idea in the first place" "We don't need it. What we need in this country is medium speed rail between major cities and towns" 👏👏👏

In 2017, Texas banned high-speed rail. Today, I announced legislation to repeal that outdated ban and invest in the rail line Texans deserve. HB 483 would connect Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio along the I-35 corridor. This is about expanding our economy and connecting Texans.

This insane: California and China both started their High Speed Rail projects in 2008 - California hasn’t completed a single track - China completed over 31,000 miles of track during the same time Here’s where it gets really crazy, I did the math on how much California is spending compared to China This is the cost per mile breakdown: - China’s rail coeds about $30 million per mile - California official Phase 1 spending is $255 million per mile Read that again. Gavin Newsom needs to go to prison, this is the biggest money laundering project in California history

🇨🇳 China’s new CR450 bullet train has reached 453 km/h, the fastest in the world for high-speed rail in commercial testing. From Chengdu to Shanghai, China is turning engineering into poetry: where others talk about “innovation,” China simply builds it, faster, quieter, and greener. When others dream of the future, we’re already boarding it.

HUGE ‼️ The Donald Trump Admin is taking the money they saved from Gavin Newsom’s failed high speed rail money laundering project and now using it to build America a High Speed Rail Project “The California project was never going to be built” “So it's fitting for us to be here today to announce the next steps in the Trump administration's agenda to usher in the golden age of rail in America. So today, I'm announcing a $5 billion dollar investment into America's rail system. $2 billion of these dollars actually are coming from an investment that the last administration made in high-speed rail in California” “I want us to invest in high-speed rail. Europe has it, Asia has it, America should have it. But the California project was never gonna be built” “The original projection was that this project was gonna cost $34 billion dollars. Well, the current projections are that it's gonna cost over $240 billion dollars. $200 billion dollars over budget. Over a decade, not one rail track has been laid” “So we pulled that money back, and now we're able to redeploy it into great projects that will drive safety, innovation, and a better experience for the American people. But again, California and its rail was never gonna be built. So let's build projects that we can actually deliver for by way of the American people” Remember, California Rep Carl DeMaio shows Democrats are going to fund their high speed rail with another $1 billion PER YEAR through 2045 even though no tracks are being laid. He said it’s because Democrats are giving these grants to their political donors as ‘no big contracts’ It’s a giant money laundering operation and nobody ever goes to jail

This War in Iran is About Crushing China’s Currency. Trump is crushing China’s Petroyuan dream and winning the global currency war. Most people think the conflict in Iran is just about nuclear weapons. They’re wrong. This is about oil, the U.S. dollar, and the global financial system. From Bretton Woods to the petrodollar, and now China’s push for the petroyuan, the real battle isn’t happening on the battlefield—it’s happening in the monetary system. In this video, I break down why Iran matters, why Kharg Island is critical, and how this conflict is directly tied to China’s attempt to challenge U.S. financial dominance.
