While the US is so busy supplying Ukraine and Israel with munitions, China is getting stronger and not wasting anything. Russia is managing to get by as well even though it took a hit. Russia may even be increasing - hard to know.

In 2011, a few hours before Gates arrived in China for his meeting with Hu Jintao, J-20 made its first-ever test flight. An interesting way to respond? In 2009, Gates also predicted the U.S. would have nearly 1,100 of the most advanced 5th-gen fighters (F-35s and F-22s) by 2020. He also stated that by 2025, the gap between the U.S. and China would only grow wider.
