I seriously can’t wrap my head around Howard Lutnick’s response… Yesterday, President Trump stated he is allowing 600,000 Chinese students into the United States. Howard Lutnick justifies this by saying these 600,000 Chinese students are needed to keep U.S. Universities afloat with their tuition, because apparently American students can’t get a better education without bankrupting the bottom-tier colleges. So in a nutshell…. Chinese Students will go to the Top Tier Schools, while American students are stuck with SUBPAR options unless Chinese cash keeps the academic machine running. I’m at a loss for words.. and the fact that it’s China blows my mind. China’s 2015 National Security Law and 2017 National Intelligence Law effectively transformed ALL Chinese nationals, including STUDENTS, into spies obligated to serve the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) by law. What the hell are we doing Howard Lutnick ?

As the school year is coming to a close, a new analysis shines another harsh spotlight on what’s being called a “learning recession” for American students. According to the latest National Education Scorecard, it's a problem that started long before the pandemic. The report found children had a steady decline in math and reading scores beginning all the way back to 2013, which happened to coincide with the rise of smartphones and social media. Compared to a decade ago, math scores today are down in 70 percent of school districts and reading scores are down in 83 percent. William Brangham discussed more with Thomas Kane, professor and faculty director of the Center for Education Policy Research.

Thanks to Megan Basham for being a relentless voice on this. The church doesn’t need any more people in the mushy middle. We need pastors who are committed to clarity and courage, who aren’t afraid to preach the entire Word of God, even when it confronts controversial, political topics like gender, sexuality, and abortion.
