No shortage of crime and horror stories to report on And no, fucked up areas of the US can't be used to wave away how fucked up Mexico can be And you can't speak for those areas if you, the typical travel influencer, have never been to those areas either If you just stay in Polanco, what would you know about what most of Mexico is like? The Rio Grande River in Arizona is completely dry in many locations They don’t want you to know, the majority of this water has been sold off over the past 5 years - A huge amount goes to agriculture, about 87% - Mexico gets an enormous amount of the water because of the US-Mexico Water Treaty Mexico is supposed to send about 1/3 of the water from certain rivers that flow into the Rio Grande to the US, mainly for Texas farmers - Minimum: Average of 350,000 acre-feet per year or 1.75 million over 5 years. - Mexico keeps the other 2/3 of that water for its own farms and cities - The US sends Mexico a lot of water from the Colorado River about 1.5 million acre feet per year During 2020-2025 Mexico only delivered about 50% of the water it owed to the United States at the end of the 5 year period Mexico continues to keep way more than their agreed share

This woman is a legal immigrant and is disgusted by what people from other countries like Mexico are doing in her new country. She came here from Mexico LEGALLY and has worked her whole life to get what she has. She never asked for a penny from the government. She didn’t come here to get something from the government, she came here for an opportunity and she got it - the American Dream. But to the people protesting: If you don’t want to be deported & you want to stay here you need to show your best behavior. “You think that we want you here with that behavior of burning cars, burning the entire city?” And for the people defending these violent attackers - shame on you! Now I didn't know what was going on because I was new to Texas, new to the world, new to check cashing, new to all of it. So I asked my girlfriend, hey, you know, why do I see so many people in line at the Western Union? And she just said, oh, it's because they're sending money home. And I said, home? She said, yeah, like back to Mexico. They're sending money home. Then she's proceeded to explain to me that it's mostly illegal immigrants that are here working under the table, taking their checks and getting them cashed and then sending most of that money. They would keep maybe a couple hundred bucks out of their check and send most of it back to their families in Mexico. Now at the time, I didn't really think anything of it. But with all of the discussion about all of the money, that American taxpayer dollars have shelled out in order to support illegal immigrants in our country. Yet in Mexico City, I’ve seen plenty of places selling flour tortilla tacos 🔥 And I’m almost always the only gringo The rest of the customers are local Mexicans Right now, I’m at a midnight street food spot in Lagunilla with zero tourists 💪 As you can see in the video I took, plenty of locals are enjoying flour tortilla tacos 😋 I’d even argue they’ve become noticeably more popular over the last couple of years compared to when I moved here nearly a decade ago.
