A Blizzard… and Not the Dairy Queen Kind ❄️🍦 The forecast says it’s going to get icy and snowy across Kansas and the Midwest this weekend—not a full-on blizzard, but enough to remind us that winter is here. To get my mind right, I swung through Dairy Queen and grabbed a Blizzard. (Because what better way to prepare for cold weather than holding one in your hand, right?) In the video, I highlight some of the items I keep in my patrol car to stay ready for winter weather. Not all of them, though—I didn’t want to make this a 20-minute video. What about you? Key Issues Raised in the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha for Pune’s Safety and Public Services In the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha, I raised several important issues aimed at strengthening citizen safety in Pune and improving veterinary healthcare infrastructure. Five New Cyber Police Stations for Pune With cybercrime steadily rising in the city, I reiterated my earlier demand from the previous session to establish five new cyber police stations in Pune. I urged the Home Department to expedite action on this proposal. Expanded CCTV Network and Advanced Technology I also called for the immediate rollout of 10,000 new CCTV cameras across Pune and urged the Government to announce the state’s comprehensive CCTV policy at the earliest. Additionally, I proposed integrating criminal databases with CCTV networks through face recognition technology, enabling real-time alerts to cyber cells when suspects are detected and significantly improving crime prevention and investigation. Upgrading the Aundh Veterinary Hospital Currently, the Aundh Veterinary Hospital provides only OPD services. I requested the Animal Husbandry Department to expedite the tender process for establishing a multispeciality veterinary treatment centre with modern facilities, and to fill vacant posts at the hospital at the earliest. Key Issues Raised in the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha for Pune’s Safety and Public Services In the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha, I raised several important issues aimed at strengthening citizen safety in Pune and improving veterinary healthcare infrastructure. Five New Cyber Police Stations for Pune With cybercrime steadily rising in the city, I reiterated my earlier demand from the previous session to establish five new cyber police stations in Pune. I urged the Home Department to expedite action on this proposal. Expanded CCTV Network and Advanced Technology I also called for the immediate rollout of 10,000 new CCTV cameras across Pune and urged the Government to announce the state’s comprehensive CCTV policy at the earliest. Additionally, I proposed integrating criminal databases with CCTV networks through face recognition technology, enabling real-time alerts to cyber cells when suspects are detected and significantly improving crime prevention and investigation. Upgrading the Aundh Veterinary Hospital Currently, the Aundh Veterinary Hospital provides only OPD services. I requested the Animal Husbandry Department to expedite the tender process for establishing a multispeciality veterinary treatment centre with modern facilities, and to fill vacant posts at the hospital at the earliest. As one of Maharashtra’s most prominent growth engines, Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad are entering the next phase of infrastructure transformation. These 3 landmark elevated corridor projects will strengthen the Pune Metropolitan Region (PMR) as a future-ready hub of connectivity, mobility and economic growth. The Pune-Shirur Elevated Corridor (53.4 km), the Talegaon-Chakan-Shikrapur Elevated Highway (53.2 km) and the Hadapsar-Yavat Elevated Highway (31 km) will decongest key corridors, improve connectivity and enable faster, seamless travel across the region. These corridors will significantly ease congestion and unlock the next phase of sustainable growth for the Pune Metropolitan Region. Designed with future Metro integration, the projects will be implemented through an innovative Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model, ensuring efficient delivery while streamlining land acquisition and allied processes. This model will also generate an upfront premium of ₹950 crore for the Government, making these projects both infrastructure-driven and financially sustainable.
