@seanpwcurrie If all air traffic from UK to EU tried to transfer to rail it would not fit. Not even close. So, travelling less also has to be part of the picture.

@seanpwcurrie I agree with this, but air quality in trains needs to be improved to reduce the risk of transmission of airborne disease. For example, the air quality in Japan's shinkansen trains is much worse than on domestic airlines.
