What an Aaphole!

I’m now sure that AAP is working against the country #AntinationalAAP

Saurabh Bhardwaj: From Screwdriver Politics to Screwball Commentary Once billed as the “tech-savvy face” of the Aam Aadmi Party, Saurabh Bhardwaj has taken quite the journey — from flashing a screwdriver in the Delhi Assembly to now screwing up basic political discourse on YouTube. After losing the Greater Kailash seat in 2025, the three-time MLA has rebranded himself as "Berozgar Neta" — an oddly fitting name for someone whose most consistent job appears to be public grandstanding. And like all politicians recovering from electoral defeat, he has found refuge in the most forgiving of spaces — the internet, where facts are optional, expertise is overrated, and every video is a fresh opportunity to lecture the country on topics he understands as well as a toaster understands geopolitics. The EVM Mechanic Who Became a Military Analyst Let’s not forget his claim to fame: "demonstrating" how to hack an EVM using a screwdriver. That episode alone set new records for absurdity in legislative history. A moment that was supposed to be a techno-political exposé instead looked like a science fair stunt by someone who took "DIY" too literally. Now, this same man has started lecturing India on war strategy, advocating a “prolonged war with Pakistan,” casually ignoring that war isn’t a YouTube algorithm or a Delhi water bill — it’s a human, economic, and geopolitical catastrophe that real leaders try to prevent, not livestream. Apparently, Bhardwaj skipped the chapters in history that explain how modern wars cost trillions, strain civilian infrastructure, destabilize economies, and impact the very Aam Aadmi he claims to represent. But hey, why let facts get in the way when there's outrage to farm and thumbnails to design? And he does — with the confidence of someone who has never let ignorance stop him from sounding supremely certain. Whether it's foreign policy, defense, Kashmir, China, Gaza, or Ukraine, Bhardwaj has an opinion on everything — usually uninformed, occasionally outrageous, and almost always framed as “the truth you won’t hear in godi media.” What he won’t tell you is that every serious analyst, diplomat, and military strategist cringes at such performative oversimplification. But when your goal is not national clarity but personal visibility, nuance becomes collateral damage. Saurabh Bhardwaj represents a new breed of political influencer — not grounded in governance, but calibrated for clicks. From Assembly stunts to YouTube spiels, he’s been consistent in one thing: making noise, not sense. If he truly wants to serve the country, he might consider learning before lecturing — especially on matters of national security. Because war is not content. It’s not a debate. It’s not a tool to revive political careers. Until then, perhaps the best service Saurabh Bhardwaj can do for India is this: Mute his mic, unplug his screwdriver, and take a much-needed course in constitutional civics and basic strategic studies.

We missed a great opportunity. In history it will be regarded as prime minister Modi's big blunder.
