I feel like most people haven’t watched the entire set. It’s hilarious and well-written. You don’t have to like every joke to appreciate the performance as a whole. Tony isn’t a bigot—he makes fun of everyone, including his own mother! Plus, he’s blown up Black comics, like Kam Patterson (super funny), who really is the blackest of black. That alone should be proof that he’s not racist. If I were a Puerto Rican comic, I’d be heading to Austin right now; one of you is going to be the next regular on Kill Tony and open for Tony on tour. Big congrats to Tony for an amazing set, and to comedy itself, both the good and the bad—we need it! Long live comedy!

His appearance on The Larry Sanders Show is a perfect example of his timing and ability to completely derail a "serious" celebrity interview with the most absurd, uncomfortable, and dry observations. The way he manages to turn a conversation about homelessness into a bizarre, wandering bit about a dog is genius. He knew exactly how to make the other guests and the host, Garry Shandling, visibly squirm. Norm: "I see one guy there the other day in New York... had a dog with him. And that's tough.
