D'Angelo wasn't a soul of many words, because he seemed to believe his music would speak best for him. And it will. Forever for a multitude of generations and to comfort anyone who misses his soothing tone or decadent energy. This moment is how I choose to remember him. Joyfully and excitedly playing his guitar and you can see in his face, that it was where he was most at home. In his latest video, David Wilcock thought that the photo of Jesus that Donald Trump posted was a "message by the Alliance" suggesting Trump was the Anti-Christ, which David then believed he and Trump were connected with a scar on the ear, and this caused Wilcock to wonder "if he was a part of the Anti-Christ thing too". Over the years Wilcock would entertain some fairly delusional stuff in his videos, but his most recent ideas indicate that his mind was spiraling into some serious self-doubt and paranoia. He would often be positive on camera, or try to be - I think this was a coping mechanism for the struggles he was facing off camera. Looks like it was to a point where he couldn't hide it as much anymore.

When one thinks of cricket and guitar, the first name that's most likely to pop up in your head is of Brett Lee. But a man who has had a far longer and deeper relationship with music, and guitar in particular, is former India coach John Wright. The New Zealand batter used to sing in the choir at his boarding school and had taken guitar lessons at the age of 10. While sports took centre stage soon in his life, music remained with him throughout his career. During his time with Derbyshire, he would often go to the local pub The Woodlark and play there. The guitar, in fact, remained a constant companion of Wright during his time with Team India as coach and he even wrote a number of songs in that 5 year period. He mentions in his autobiography about writing one of them sitting in a hotel room in Dhaka in 2004 on Christmas when he couldn't be with the family due to his work commitments, aptly titled Christmas Away Blues. After he was done with coaching, Wright decided to finally give time to music and from that came an album titled Red Skies in 2016. Wright has also travelled performing with the band The Sou'Westers in the past few years. Here is Wright performing Red Skies.

Joe Rogan says he called Theo Von to apologize for his comments last week where he voiced concern for Von’s mental health. Rogan admitted he did a huge “disservice” to Von and it came across as though he was “throwing his friend under the bus.” ROGAN: “Then it comes out, like Theo has to defend it and then I called him up and I said, dude, I’m so sorry.” “I didn’t even think of that, and that’s very selfish of me. Coppola had to fight to cast Marlon Brando as Vito Corleone in The Godfather. At the time, the studio saw Brando as “box office poison.” What finally sold them was his legendary screen test, where he transformed into the Don right in front of their eyes. Coppola explains: "I remember in one meeting, I was told by the then president of Paramount - "As president of Paramount Pictures, I am telling you that Marlon Brando will not appear in this motion picture." So I continued talking and arguing, and finally, they agreed to let me discuss the idea of Marlon Brando being in the movie if I honored three stipulations. A - he would do a screen test. B - he would do the film for free. (he would get a back-end deal) And C - he would put up a bond so that if any of his shenanigans or any trouble came from him being on the set, that it would guarantee the losses. So I said, - "Okay, I accept” - What could I do? I accepted these three things from Marlon. So I then called up Marlon Brando and suggested, "Maybe it’d be nice if I did like a little makeup test or something? I could come over your house." - he said to me, "All right."… We got to his house very early, and we set up our little lights. And I had brought a bunch of provolone cheese and a little Italian cigars and little props just to kind of put around - sure enough, he wakes up, and he comes out of his bedroom; and he's this great-looking, I don't know, he must have been 47, and in a Japanese robe. He looked very impressive, and I looked at him with this ponytail and I'm like, "God, how's he ever going to play a mafia chieftain?"… And he walked on. He put on a jacket, and he started mumbling - I remember, he went through great effort to bend the tip of his collar - he said, "So, like, there's a time guys always have the collar bent like that." And he picked up a cigar, and he started to gesture with it and use it as a prop, and he nibbled on a little bit of provolone cheese - and he rolled up the ponytail, and he kind of pinned it up, and he took some shoe polish, and he darkened it, and while he's doing this, we're photographing… He took some tissue paper, and he said, "He should have the face of a bulldog."...He stuffed the tissue paper in his jaw, and then he said, "Well, if he's shot in the throat, he ought to have to talk like that a little bit." It really was a transformation of this nice looking young man with a blonde ponytail, into this kind of mafia guy… I took it to New York, and I went to Mr. Bluthorn's office (head of Paramount Pictures), and I said, "Oh, Charlie, Charlie, I want to show you something." - I flick the video, and sure enough, there's Marlon Brando coming out in a robe with a blonde ponytail, and he looks, and he says, "Never! Marlon Brando, never! Never!" And as he's doing that, he's watching Brando turn himself into this guy, and Charlie just looks astounded, and he says, "That's incredible! That's incredible!" And once he was sold on the idea that Marlon could do it on his authority, they allowed us to do it."

Today we lost another drop in the pool of Black musical genius–D’wayne Wiggins of Oakland’s own Tony! Toni! Toné!. And while most associate the group with the brilliance of Raphael Saadiq (D’Waynes brother), I was always drawn to those moments when Wiggins would lend his vocals to a recording. Records like ‘Holy Smokes & Gee Wiz’, ‘Slow Wine’, ‘Til Last Summer’, and ‘Wild Child’. But I would argue that the record that best displayed the essence of his fingerprints on the group’s sound was ‘Whatever You Want’. That particular song has his vocals, signature guitar playing, song writing, and distinct groove all in one recording. Today we lost another drop in the pool of Black musical genius–D’wayne Wiggins of Oakland’s own Tony! Toni! Toné!. And while most associate the group with the brilliance of Raphael Saadiq (D’Waynes brother), I was always drawn to those moments when Wiggins would lend his vocals to a recording. Records like ‘Holy Smokes & Gee Wiz’, ‘Slow Wine’, ‘Til Last Summer’, and ‘Wild Child’. But I would argue that the record that best displayed the essence of his fingerprints on the group’s sound was ‘Whatever You Want’. That particular song has his vocals, signature guitar playing, song writing, and distinct groove all in one recording. today would have been Oliver Tree birthday . he brought me so much joy just to know a creator that loved and breathed his art 1000% every time I see him I felt like I wasn’t doing enough .. but it wasn’t just the work as a musician it was life . he lived it every moment to the fullest - he gave everything in his bones to making the world a better place with his music . a lot of people might have just been turned on to him that wasn’t familiar . and he would be so happy to see the impact he had .. at a great time with everyone looksmaxing, faking their way to the algorithm and making music for the money - he tried to steer humanity into a greater place where being the best version yourself is the greatest gift you can give... this is one of the demos we had - in retrospect it makes me cry to listen back to.. what a big heart this man had

A story that should never be forgotten. Komitas. He was an orphan and grew up within the walls of the seminary. The boy's name was Soghomon Soghomonian — the world would later know him as Komitas. From an early age, he showed a remarkable talent for music. He would go on to become a priest, a composer, and one of the greatest collectors and preservers of Armenian folk music. He traveled across villages, listening to the songs of the people, writing them down, and arranging them so that they would never be lost. His work gave Armenia its musical soul and identity. But during the Armenian Genocide in 1915, he was arrested and witnessed unimaginable horrors. Though he survived, the trauma broke him. He spent the rest of his life in asylums, silent and tormented, until he passed away in 1935. Yet his music lives on! A testament to a culture that refused to be erased.
