He was a villain to me in my childhood (Nigel Benn was my hero) but now that I'm old, I actually appreciate just how good he was. Geezer was a stone cold killer

I met him in the middle of Kings Cross station, told him he was my favourite boxer growing up. He stood us to one side out of the crowd and spent a good 10 minutes talking boxing. Top man. Could have said thank you and walked on.

I liked Eubank during his career but the heart the man showed in his 2 fights with Carl Thompson will always endear me to him. He literally had the heart of a lion. I don’t say he’s everyone’s cup of tea but respect the man for the bravery he possessed.

He won so many fans over those two fights for sure.

He was quite brutal pre Watson 2 wasn't he You can see he's a good lad Ste because on the 4 kings documentary when asked any regrets without hesitation he said Michael Watson and then got upset He's a good lad

Never the same after the Watson fight. Really affected him to the point where he didn’t like to finish an opponent off.
