I do not disagree with your statement, but my take away was that Chris was extremely unprepared/untrained for MS combat. Between the Kampfer using all its best weapons on Scarlet Team, the shotgun jamming, and Alex's Chobham armor, Chris should be toast.

Fun fact. This is the Gundam Amuro was suppose to get when fighting at Zeon HQ but due to the events of the movie it was too damages to be sent.
