@ChrisMurphyCT I wish this bill was as bad as he pretends it is. 9 billion in cuts is barely a drop in the bucket for this over bloated government. It is better than nothing but we need a lot more cuts to avoid catastrophe.

We have a bill that significantly decreases illegal immigration and we sabotage that. That is inconsistent with what we told our voters we would do.” One party is trying to solve the border control issue while the other party is trying to use it for political gain by not doing anything. Just ask Republicans who are honest.

These are called “rescissions,” and they’re basically a way to cancel funds that were previously approved but haven’t been spent yet. If we don’t act by July 18, those cuts won’t happen. We’ll also be voting on a few of President Trump's nominations on the floor, because Senate Republicans are working to get things done. And that’s what's moving on Monday.
