Trump said Noem is doing a great job, she’s not going anywhere, and stayed firm on his stance that we have to deport the illegals. Meanwhile, the Dems have not calmed down their rhetoric against ICE/Trump. Nothing has changed. It appears both sides are fighting for optics during this chaos. Trump is remaining calm and controlled, making sure not to appear trigger-happy or ruthless, because the Dems are desperate to paint him as Hitler. The Dems are trying to play victim and make it seem as if they are under assault from a totalitarian dictator. I think we are witnessing a bit of tact from Trump. I think he decided to throw a little water on the fire to calm things down, but neither side has actually relinquished their posture. Trump is still going to deport the illegals, and the Dems are still going to fight him every step of the way.

It seems the current MOU is quite similar to what the US rejected in Pakistan. The question is why Trump rejected the interim deal back then. One possibility is that the Trump administration thought the Iranian regime would crumble in a few weeks under the economic blockade. A more likely possibility is that Trump delayed it as much as possible to ensure the end of the second phase of discussions falls after the midterm election. This can be achieved with only one extension of the 60-day period, so if the nuclear talks fail, Democrats won’t use it as ammunition against Republicans.

Of course Fox News is now attacking Biden for unveiling an Executive order to try and fix the illegal immigration problem in this country, after they complained for months that Biden should be signing an Executive order to fix illegal immigration. Meanwhile Trump convinced Republicans to do nothing, the GOP claimed that they wanted a clean border bill, which when they got one, they still refused to sign it, yet they want us to think Democrats are the ones causing the border mess. Nobody wants to talk about why milk tastes like nothing now. It’s not in your head. Most of it is not coming from cows on grass. It is coming from giant confinement dairies where they feed the cows the same slop every day so they pump out as much milk as possible. Then they mix it all, smash the cream so it never rises, and cook it so it can sit on a truck and a store shelf for weeks. That is why it tastes cooked and cheap instead of like actual milk. A cow only makes milk if she keeps having babies. So they take the calf away within hours. Then a lot of those babies get stuck in little plastic boxes by themselves for weeks. That is standard practice today. They told us factory farming would make food cheaper. It did not. The mega farms produce milk for less. Then the processors, packagers, and grocery chains take their cut, and you still pay more at the store. Farmers get squeezed. You get worse milk. The calves sit in boxes. Everybody in the middle still makes money. This is the food system they built and then told us was “progress.” Giant monopolies running lower-quality, higher-profit operations. The White House is not a museum that has to stay frozen. It is the working house of the American presidency. The Supreme Court is right to let the ballroom move forward now. ABC just reported that the Court formally granted the Trump administration’s request to keep building. That is the correct call. A president should be able to finish a state room worthy of the country instead of getting boxed in by people who treat every beam as a political crime. Opponents wanted a halt. They dressed it up as preservation and process. What they wanted was a stalled pit on the East Wing so they could say he failed. The Court refused to give them that. America hosts the world in that house. Allies, rivals, funerals, inaugurations, state dinners. A proper ballroom is not vanity. It is capacity. It is security built into the same complex. It is the country acting like it intends to last. Finish it. Make it beautiful. Let Trump and Melania walk the floor when it is done. The people who hate the idea will hate the finished room too. That is their problem. America will enjoy the ballroom for generations to come. It is a gift to our collective future.
