Philp is a liar, and a moron. There is no evidence to support his assertion. The Rwanda scheme cost in excess of £800 million and could only apply to a tiny number (3 or 4%) of small boat migrants. It also required UK to take and support "vulnerable" migrants from Rwanda.

How could your Rwandan deportation scheme have been a deterrent if the English Channel isn’t one… FYI only 4% of asylum seekers even arrive via the channel.
