Chris Richards keeps adding layers to his distribution from the back

great vid. his passing has REALLY unlocked alot for the USMNT

His line splitting pass to Tillman before the second goal was orgasmic

His growth in the last year plus has been remarkable. Future captain?

Richards is a perfect example of why you need to keep players that play at high levels in the lineup. He finally is playing confident with the NT. Sargent , Scally, etc not getting called up is ridiculous.

That was the biggest fault in his game in the Nations League. Dramatic improvement!

This was one of his strengths in Germany so it was weird that he never got a chance to show it or showed it until now.

That’s why you need technical CBs

For years now I’ve thought the biggest loss when Ream goes is his passing. In the WC his passing from the back was incredible, irreplaceable. Richards isn’t there yet but I have a lot more confidence in him during buildup than I did in the past.

yeah I remember him telling me back when he was playing for Bayern II that this was demanded of them -- take space on the dribble. But I don't know that we've seen a ton of it from him for the NT in the intervening years.

TV numbers are going up because no one can afford to go to USMNT 🇺🇸 games. Tv ratings 📈 Attendance 📉 Well played US Soccer, well played..

The USMNT Gold Cup match against Costa Rica peaked at 2.8M viewers, making it the most watched non-final Gold Cup match in English language US history, per @FOXSportsPR 🇺🇸👀🔥

🚨 EXCL: Sebastian Berhalter to Bayern Munich, deal now very close. 🔴🇺🇸 Kompany a big fan — sees him as a “Ballack-type” with top-level passing range & leadership. Personal terms fully agreed, just final details between clubs left. Here we go soon. ✅ #FCBayern

So after following a watching a good bit of this club World Cup can we all agree Brazilian league is way ahead of the MLS?
