The Biafra War was, for us, a fight for survival against annihilation. There was a real threat of extinction, but Chukwu Okike Abiama preserved our people. Our ancestors fought barefoot, with sticks, and even with their bare hands. Boys became men, and our women stood shoulder to shoulder with the men in defense of our existence. We will never forget those who paved the way and paid the ultimate price for daring to be free as a people.

I urge all Londoners to stand with our Jewish communities. Condemning antisemitism is not enough. We need to collectively fight against it, as we have in the past.
