I agree. My only hesitation in supporting death penalty for child predators is that it incentivizes murder in addition to the rape. Statistically, they have a much better chance of not getting caught if they not only assault but also murder the child. Maybe it results in less total children being assaulted. But its also going to have a death toll. Im not sure that the payoff is worth it in the end. And im not sure how to gauge that. Well, other than seeing how it plays out in the states that have instituted this law. Florida and what did she say, alabama? Are the only 2 ive heard of so far. I wish them well in their endeavor. I think they should raise that age to 14 tho and institute a 10 year age minimum. Anyone over 10 years older than the victim can get the death penalty.
