Christmas gift fails!

Education fails. These lucky bastards are enjoying the kind of privileges that most kids around the world never will.

If I had done that when I was a kid, my Dad would have done the following: 1. Spanked me 2. Taken all the Christmas presents and threw them in the trash 3. Ended Christmas (gift giving portion) permanently

And this IS why we should never make Christmas about presents! It’s a time to celebrate the birthday of Jesus! It’s family time, traditions and beautiful lights!

I'm in my late 50's, and I would still be feeling the ass whooping that I would have gotten if I acted like this.

I'd have to make a dentist appointment for missing teeth if I did that in front of my Dad back in the day...

If my kid ever acted like that they would never get another gift from me. If my teenager threw a brand new TV on the floor because he was pissed he would be flying right behind it😉

Next year, have a discussion in November. Everyone gets four gifts: something to wear, something they need, something they want, something to read. That’s it. Managed expectations = happiness.

To be fair the ps5 thing is just kinda cruel, it’s in the ps5 box but they pull out a 1st gen ps4. They go for like 150$ not saying the kid should’ve chucked it but I would be pissed too if I saw a ps5 box and opened it to see a ps4, not even an s which is better and goes for-

Gift fails? I think ungrateful fails and parenting fails. No way would my child slam a tv or take a hammer to it? I’ll leave it at that.

First kid don’t want clothes? Ok, well all your clothes you do have will get donated to kids who really need it.
