My Mom would have busted my butt first. Then she’d have gotten the Apple Watch she probably got me and loaded my still crying butt into the car, driven to the Apple Store walked me in and made me watch her return it. If she hadn’t gotten me an Apple Watch, she’d have taken me to the Watch display, and let me pick one out that I really liked. Then said, “ You’re not getting that from me or anyone in the family.” She’d have meant it too. I guarantee, they’re have been a new TV for her room on Christmas Day. Even if it meant that one I had in my room was missing.

She'd be responsible for buying her own shit from that point forward. I would get her only the things she needs (food, school supplies, etc.), but everything she "wanted" would be entirely on her to afford. I wouldn't buy her a single gift ever again.
