It might not sniff? You tripping ?

Nor should it, as the odyssey is easily a bottom tier film. Especially for Nolan

This won’t win because the Oscars are the Oscars, unfortunately.

Correction not Nolan but Dennis Villeneuve

Speaking as someone who used to block out the Academy Awards on my calendar and even throw Oscar parties... I don't care who wins Oscars anymore at all.

I really believe Christopher Nolan is going to win the Oscar for Best Director & Best Picture in back-to-back films. For Nolan to give us The Odyssey in the wake of Oppenheimer is beyond words. I just can’t believe it. That said, Nolan will have to overcome Dune 3, which might not be possible. But I put Nolan in the driver’s seat right now.

At least 3x every year I get an uncontrollable urge, to watch the Generational Masterpiece that is Interstellar. Somehow, someway this scene still hits just as hard every single time. Matthew McConaughey & Christopher Nolan are truly elite.

Christopher Nolan made Memento, The Prestige, The Dark Knight, Inception and Interstellar without a Best Director Oscar nomination. He definitely deserves an Oscar for "The Odyssey".

Christopher Nolan & Denis Villeneuve are on a collision course that leads to the 2027 Oscars. I’ve seen a few minutes of Dune: Part 3 & I nearly collapsed/fainted. I’ve also seen The Odyssey three times & I believe it’s Christopher Nolan’s best film. That’s why I have absolutely zero idea whether Nolan or Denis will dance with Oscar. Whether it be Best Picture or Best Director, the upcoming Oscar race is going to be one for the ages. Let’s roll.

The Godfather: Part II won the Academy Award for Best Picture just two years after the first film won Best Picture. Francis Ford Coppola didn’t win Best Director for the first film but won it for the second. I think Christopher Nolan could do what Coppola couldn’t do with the first two Godfathers- win Best Picture and Best Director twice in a row. That’s the level of history we’re dealing with here.

Dune: Part 3 would literally need to be one of the best films I’ve ever seen in my life to somehow beat The Odyssey for the Oscar for Best Picture. Dune 3 would need to be historically great. And it might be! But the bar is so high. I’ve also never felt like The Academy has properly recognized Denis Villeneuve, whereas lately, Christopher Nolan has been the apple of the industry’s eye. All of which is to say that Nolan stands in the way of Denis’s chances at dancing with Oscar.

Christopher Nolan’s next film releases in 167 days. Inception might not be Nolan’s best (I think Oppenheimer or The Dark Knight) but is it fair to suggest this is Nolan’s best cast? Multiple Oscar winners for Best Actor, a young Tom Hardy, and Michael Caine. Elite casting.
