I've read THE ODYSSEY contains some of the best spectacle in Christopher Nolan's career. I really believe Nolan has spent his entire career building up to this. For my money, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES contains some of Nolan's best action, notably the fight between Batman and Bane.

The Dark Knight Rises is what I consider to be lower-tier Christopher Nolan- but this film is still a quality movie filled with moments. Those moments are largely due to Tom Hardy. Every scene with Hardy as Bane captivates. Wish we had more of Bane. A good but complicated film.
