Tom Holland got emotional describing what he’s learned from Jon Bernthal since he was a kid and Bernthal broke down mid-interview. Sean Evans: What’s one thing about the other guy that you appreciate more than you did back then, with the last decade of experience? Jon Bernthal: That’s easy for me. Tom Holland: I want to — I’ll take this one cuz you always say such nice things about me, man. Jon Bernthal: Oh. Tom Holland: As a young man in this business, coming up, it’s so important to find people that you can look up to and people you aspire to be like. And the way John is with his family and his kids, and the way he approaches his work, the way he is with people on set, the way he’s been with me since I was a kid to now being 30 years old, is something I’m super grateful for. And I’ve learned a lot from him as a professional. Even today, listening to you talk about all that Russian bullsh*t was really interesting. Jon Bernthal: Tom, this is so bad, bro. This is so bad. But then I didn't get a call for like 12 years, so a part of me was wondering, did I do something wrong? Like, you know? There was a lovely moment when he made a film with an actress who was kind of my age, and Emma called to say, just so you know, he doesn't want an American for this part. So they were kind of, you know, caretaking for me from a distance. When I got the call back, I was so overjoyed because I am as lucky as you get as an actor.”
