Christopher Nolan pulled off some amazing filmmaking within this reverse car-chase sequence in Tenet. The more I watch Tenet, the more I fall in love because of moments like this. When Nolan said “don’t try to understand it, feel it” - this is what he meant.

I loved Tenet from the start, but when I asked chatgpt to explain the events of the movie from the perspective of the future humans, the film took on a whole other level (as did my understanding).

"Dont try to understand it" yeah because it makes no fucking sense.

Yes this was peak! I have the same feelings - it took two concentrated, back to back watches on long plane trips to finally stop trying to figure it out and just enjoy it. Kind of genius, to make a film that is not meant to be understood.

This is easily his worst film.

That line really nailed how the experience was for me. I didn’t get too busy trying to figure it all out. I was just in awe of the spectacle of it!

Re-release it !!!

I was a year before the film came out in Tallinn on that exact motorway. Had the fitting feeling of Deja Vu in the cinema. Very worthwhile place for a summer trip (the city and the streets).

Thats how i see him

There’s a shot in Tenet I think about every day. It’s a close-up of a tire squealing, rotating backwards but moving forwards. It’s super quick but it encapsulates the magic of that movie because you know realistically it must have taken some time to make that 5 sec shot work

dr strange did reverse time 1000 times better
