(He told me in an interview that the dubbing incident was one of the reasons he was rude about the film.) This is Plummer’s original vocal performance of “Edelweiss” - a chance to hear the song as he recorded it.

Christopher Plummer only accepted to appear in "Starcrash" (1978) for 2 reasons. One of the reasons being his wish to visit Rome. As long as he landed in Rome, he was even willing to do a p0rn0. He loved the city that much. The other reason was acting alongside Caroline Munro - whom he said was "incredible to look at". Christopher Plummer was paid $10,000 per day. Most of his scenes as the Emperor of the Galaxy were shot in a single day. Here in his own words: "Plummer: [Breathlessly.] 'Starcrash'. Oh, my God. There are two things I can say about that: One, give me Rome any day. I’ll do p0rn0 in Rome, as long as I can get to Rome. Ridley Scott’s All the Money in the World has become one of Hollywood’s most consequential films - at least in the last decade or so. I think this had the potential to be an all-time great Ridley film but, as we all know, it was totally derailed by issues related to Kevin Spacey. Ridley shot the entire film with Spacey & early reports were that Spacey delivered an Oscar-caliber performance. In other words, Spacey was the film’s heartbeat. In the wake of news breaking around horrendous allegations against Spacey, Ridley was forced to pivot with nearly no time. That led Ridley to one of my favorite actors in the history of mankind…Christopher Plummer. One door closes & another opens. Plummer, at 88, became the oldest actor ever nominated for an Oscar. All of which is to say that Plummer stepped into this film with as much grace as anyone in the situation could possibly manage - and to do it at nearly 90? Plummer must’ve thought he had seen it all, at least until this point. But while Plummer earned an Oscar nomination, this film suffered from the reshoots & recasting. It’s a tall task for any film to reshoot like this film had to but Ridley tried taking it all in stride. On the eve of a new Ridley Scott film, it’s worth revisiting one of the more interesting chapters in his career.

Woozi was called an obedient white puppy bc the staff said he almost never expressed anything about himself at all, wouldn’t say he was sick even if he was, wouldn’t say he was having a hard time even if he was struggling. That day during the interview session, he was barely moving and said that he was in a situation where he couldn't move comfortably, but he still participated in 6 performances perfectly, with the brightest smile on his face 🥹 He said that he didn’t like talking about being sick since he was little bc when he talked about it, it felt like he was the only one who was having a hard time while everyone else was also struggling 💔

He even said it was one of the hardest scenes of his entire career, because he was playing a man who was “abandoning his son.” Christopher Nolan revealed that he only needed a single take to capture Caine’s performance, as it was so powerful and authentic.

The Rocky Horror Show was staged at my high school my junior year & it was the first time I sat down and watched the film. Tim Curry blew my doors off. I didn’t know you could do the things Curry does in this film - it’s like he changed the rules of the game as he went. In other words? He was a pioneer. Fearless. And a heart that was absolutely massive. This week just got even worse. RIP to a legend.
