Christopher Wray and Alejandro Mayorkas skipped the Senate hearing because they knew they were about to get laid into over Laken Riley's murder and numerous other national security failures. They also skipped because they knew nothing would happen to them if they did.

And why no accountability from Speaker Johnson on their refusal.

Should people like this be jailed (in a cushy jail of course) until the next hearing and fined a painful amount? Not that I know anything

I despise these 2 but I can honestly say that I don't blame them. They have as much respect for Congress that Congress allows them. I've never watched a hearing that at the end I say to myself, "that was worth my time ". The only oversight is staffers overseeing talking points
