Since Man of Steel was basically a lame ripoff of Reeve Superman 1 and 2. He should just moved the fight. But always found it intresting that 2 years afterwards. Marvel had an answer to all that wanted destruction. Like "Maybe our hero should try to contain the fight as much as possible.".

In a 1986 episode of Late Night with David Letterman, David Letterman had been joking for weeks about an elegant green outfit that Cybill Shepherd’s team had supposedly sent ahead. The dress hung on set as a running gag, and Shepherd played along by appearing in just a towel, joking that she no longer wanted to wear the outfit after it had been hanging there untouched for so long.
