I wouldn't consider Christy Clark as on our side. Be aware of her. She's a Carney acolyte

That's not exactly correct. Tankers from Alaska come closer to the bottom of the Vancouver Island on their way to Seattle and West side of Haida Gwaii. Tankers don't hug the west coast of BC on the way down. It looks somewhat like this.

Oil Tankers have maneuvered through the Strait of Juan de Fuca, then waited out in English Bay, then made their way under Lions Gate and Second Narrows Bridges scheduled to time and tides, to the Westridge Marine loading terminal in Burnaby, since 1957 - for 68 years. There has not been one single marine oil spill or accident in those waters. Oil Tankers must have double hulls and be safety inspected and certified to be registered and scheduled for these deliveries in/out of Burrard Inlet. Marine Pilots are highly trained and take over command of the entrance and exit. These controls would be no less stringent on the Northern BC Coastal ports.

How did she leave him speechless when Eby wasn’t even on the panel? Unless there’s a longer clip.

'mud hut' enviro fanatics(READ: @bcndp @bcgreens, @liberal_party ) are dead set against a booming GDP, private sector investmen & job growth b/c 'polluters.' It's beyond scandalous how they've been able to get away with undermining BC's long term economic growth & prosperity in pursuit of their 'climate' ideology. They've made BC, which should be an incredibly wealthy & prosperous jurisdiction, completely irrelevant wrt the global economy. Sad. @vancouversun @One_BCHQ @CPC_HQ @conservative_bc @KenSimCity @Vote4ABC #com #cdnpoli #bcppoli #vanpoli

It’s really kind of funny …if you look north/east from the B.C. parliament buildings .. you can see the stacks of all 4 PNW refineries.. and @christyclarkbc is correct ✅ millions of bbls is shipped through the puget sound .. After all 👉a Refinery is Named after the water way.

I was in Alaska recently and talking with local people and it’s like BC and Canada in general don’t even exist. They get everything from Seattle and the west coast of US. Comes up by ship and barge.

#2. Considering that east coast provinces have twice as many MPs, they basically decide our elections. Conservatives can't win federally if the east coast doesn't vote conservative. So liberals made the east coast totally dependent on government hand outs and we are cooked.

@ABDanielleSmith and @BrianJeanAB need to bring up the Alaska pipeline through BC as a reference point of hypocrisy that the BC govt has against Alberta.

This claim by Christy Clark is, obviously, not correct. Alaska doesn’t produce “bitumen”. Alaska produces medium sour crude which has very different characteristics from bitumen which is an ultra-heavy sour mixed with distillates to make it transportable

Simply put it's not about the public interest anymore. It's about politicians pandering to their base to make sure they stay in power to enrich themselves and their friends. No way for the public to stop it and sadly we aren't going to vote our way out of this issue.

Big difference Jasmin: US tankers are moving outside the west coast in open waters, while the tanker ban is focused on the inside passage, strewn with islands, reefs, and narrow navigable passages. Clark knows this, but the audience (including you) doesn't.🤠

#4. Almost like killing O&G now and saving mother earth. None of the oil producing countries do it. We are the only ones. It's pathetic. It's infuriating. It's unbelievable!

In order for Clark to have left Eby SPEECHLESS, Eby would have had to be sitting on that panel, which he wasn't. But Clark's argument is solid especially if you add in all of @Dave_Eby's elbows up rhetoric and the fact Americans are getting right of way in BC

How do you leave someone speechless who's not even part of the conversation? And with a hypothetical, at best. Another great take, Jasmin.

Affected First Nations long wanted the ban and want it upheld. And yes, there have been spills. Does Christy not care about Indigenous rights?! Because THAT is a problem.
