Real estate agent Grant Wise told his table at the Oven and Tap restaurant in Bentonville, Arkansas, that their server, Ryan Brandt, would receive a $4,400 tip to share with another server who also worked the table. But the restaurant manager instructed Brandt to pool the tip with others who didn’t serve the generous party, an arrangement she hadn’t seen in her three years at the restaurant.
