Harper is unwell. Rescued because of fore and hind limb fractures blood reports have shown her to be severely anemic. She's also blood parasites positive and has an affected liver. Sadly her condition is not stable enough for surgery. Vets are working on building up her strength

Raha the Rhino Update! Our intrepid little girl in blue is doing well. While her journey remains a unique and unprecedented one, we are happy with her progress. Raha is more energetic, eating well (though still reluctant to consume the roughage that makes up a typical black rhino’s diet), and her injured rear end isn’t giving her any major issues at the moment. Nilla. First year cow with a good calf. She is supplying milk still to her calf and you can see she has given up some of her fat reserves from winter pasture. This is typical as her body delivers fats and proteins to her calf via milk. Good pasture here will help maintain body

URGENT APPEAL This is Njeri Mugure She is 28 years and was born deaf. Her mother locked her away about 10 years ago due to her disability. She sometimes is even chained on the seat and never allowed to go outside. Due to the deplorable conditions, and malnutrition, lack of sun and she often left in her own excrement. Her bones are brittle andis unable to walk unsupported. Her language is now guttural sounds, whereas neighbours say that she used to be vocal. Njeri has not been cleaned in a long time and our ED Njeri and the house mum have been cleaning her but due to the formation of scales on her skin. She also has oral thrush and other issues. Having rescued her , we took her to hospital and reported the matter to Kihara Police, we are doing P3s today for the arrest of the mother due to gross negligence. We need your help for her care for the next three months. Njeri needs a caregiver as she is unable to hold her urine or excrement. We need diapers and gloves. We need a portaloo to potty train her , a small walker to aid movement and drugs as well as supplements that have been prescribed. We will stay with her for three months as we figure her next steps. Our rescued bully mix, a survivor of brutal breeder exploitation, is finally healing. Her wounds have started to close, her body is gaining strength, and she is eating well again. With every passing day, we see a little more life returning to her tired eyes. The excessive saliva discharge is still there, but the frequency and quantity have reduced, which is a hopeful sign that her body is responding to treatment. This girl has known only suffering for most of her life. Used, exploited, and discarded. Yet today, she is choosing to trust, to heal, and to live. Today is a wonderful day at LAW! 😍 Berani has finally left the clinic and is joining her new family at our Celuk Buluh shelter 😁🥰 We'll keep her separate for a week or two to let her settle in and get used to her new surroundings, gradually introducing her to a couple of the other dogs. She's very friendly with humans, but very nervous around other dogs at the moment. The guy who alerted us to her has let us down very badly 😞 He said he would like to adopt her when she was better and would fundraise to help us pay for the veterinary care. Now he's changed his mind about adopting her and hasn't raised a penny 😢 We're determined Berani will have a good home with us and be well taken care of, regardless! ❤ We never put them back out on the streets to fend for themselves. In 2 weeks she'll be sterilised too. One of our goals is to try to get the numbers of unwanted puppies down, so every dog under our care goes through the procedure to battle those numbers. Veterinary care is very costly, even with charity status discount, it drains the funds drastically 😩 Please help us to get the best care possible for our lovely rescues. Update on Lulu: She's doing very well! 😍 Eating, brighter, pooping and peeing normally and her wound is looking great 👍🏻💪🏼😍 We are bringing her home today 😁🙏🏻 I'm sure she'll thrive when she's in her own surrounding with familiar faces. She needs around 3 months to recover fully, which will be a real pain for her, because she loves being in the thick of it 😩😂 Thank you once again to everyone who made it possible for our Lulu to have the treatment and surgery.
