as someone with ADHD, I literally watch movies specifically because they have the unique ability to capture my entire attention, & not think about other shit for once. maybe having the subtitles on all the time helps with that, though.

Why do you suppose the movie theater gets all dark right before the film plays. And why do you think there aren’t any cool decorations on the walls. Or other, smaller screens next to the main screen. Or people talking during it. Why do you think they do all that stuff

This is ridiculous and not for adhd people. Like others said this is just putting something on in the background while doing something else in a group setting. This is just encouraging people to have piss poor attention spans. Put your stuff away while watching a movie in theater

Well, if there is an audience that wants it and it genuinely helps them watch the movie, then fair enough. As long as this doesn't become the new norm demanded to be "inclusive".

I have ADHD. Regular theaters are perfectly fine for me. I can keep my attention for the entire run time of a film.

This is the worst possible way to watch a movie with ADHD. People who don’t have ADHD don’t understand what it really is or is like to live with it. It’s more than just getting distracted or jumping around all of our favorite hobbies.

I have pretty bad adhd but over the years I’ve been able to push through a lot of shit especially movies if I’m trying to enjoy them this feels highly unnecessary I recommend sitting in the rows closer to the screen but this seems like you would be more distracted
