This is Honourable S Mureyami of CCC. She is openly supporting the infamous #CAB3 in Parliament. A #Bill which seeks to extend Emmerson Mnangagwa’s term of office with an extra two years. She is one of the Members of Parliament who entered Parliament through the back door. She is a product of the illegal recalls that were initiated by the ruling party ZANU PF through the notorious Sengezo Tshabangu. Authentic voices like Hon Gift Ostallos Siziba & Pashor Raphael Sibanda were illegally recalled from the house of assembly to pave way for this nonsense. This is heist going on right before our eyes. Chiredzi Central Citizen Coalition for Change (CCC) MP Ropafadzo Makumire was this morning stopped by Police from hosting elderly people at Tshovani Stadium for his 33rd birthday. He was told to take the guests to his house if he wished to continue with the programme. He however, reminded ZRP that the old people they barred from using the stadium are the same people who built it. WHEN THE KITCHEN GETS HOT, THEY UNCEREMONIOUSLY BOLT OUT: FIRST IT WAS NELSON CHAMISA, NOW IT’S TENDAI BITI, WHO IS NEXT? The recent state of the conduct of leadership ranks in the Zimbabwean political opposition is unprecedented in the country’s political history. Just last January, Nelson Chamisa bolted out and abandoned the presidency of his CCC faction founded under a 4-page constitution which made him synonymous with the party and its sole convenor and chief administrator, with no deputy and with no succession provisions. His sudden departure effectively meant the dissolution of his CCC by operation of law, notwithstanding the fact that there are some political vultures like Jameson Timba who are currently trying to find rotten meat from Chamisa’s dissolved CCC carcass. And there was the incredible spectacle of Fadzayi Mahere and Allan Norman Rusty Markham, whose real story and its implications are yet to be told, who bolted out not only from the CCC carcass deserted by Chamisa, but also from Parliament making never before heard arguments from any parliament anywhere in the world. For example, Mahere whose letter of resignation was dated 29 January 2024, posted on X that one of her major reasons for bolting out of Parliament only after four months of a five-year term was because of “the tainted state of Parliament, coupled with sundry breaches of Parliamentary privilege, illegal suspensions and the decision by President Nelson Chamisa to dissociate himself from the captured CCC have made it untenable for me to continue as a member of parliament for Mt Pleasant Constituency under the CCC banner”. And Markham whose resignation letter was dated 31 January 2024, who posted on X that, “my resignation note I referred to the “tick the box” and a “rubber stamp” parliament with no oversight”; as if he was ignorant of the fact that he had been elected in Harare East constituency precisely to provide the oversight that would make Parliament less of the “rubber stamp” he alleged that it was. That any serious Member of Parliament would invoke such frivolous reasons as made by Mahere and Markham to justify betraying the constituencies that elected them, and to bolt out, only four months after they were sworn in for a five-year term is shocking, to say the least. Clearly, Zimbabwe does indeed need better opposition leaders than these kinds who are given to such gross negligence, breached the duty of constituency-representation with reckless abandon. Surprisingly, Tendai Biti is cut from the same cloth. Only some 60 or so days after he boldly declared that he was CCC Vice President elected by that party’s congress and that he was “going nowhere”, now he says he is actually going somewhere after all; by taking “time out”; taking a “sabbatical” to go to Washington DC, of all places. And he’s saying this at a time when he’s in fact due to take over - something he accepted to do when he knew at that time that he was due to go to the US by this fall - as CCC acting president under the ‘rotational’ arrangement they agreed to as the ‘leadership collective’ under the ‘Gweru Resolutions’. Effectively, like Chamisa, Mahere and Markham, Biti is bolting out. He is running away from leadership responsibility. This makes sense of their mantra that they ‘need new leaders’!

That meeting has since been held, and Tungwarara is now rolling out boreholes in areas that were once strongholds of the opposition. This is being done through CCC leaders in a bid to secure #CAB3. As it stands, Tungwarara is proving to be a smooth operator who has overcome obstacles on his way to CC membership and is currently the frontrunner for the ED2030 agenda. Today they were spotted at Marapura Ground in Mufakose drilling a borehole; by the time we open our eyes, Mufesi uyu anenge aenda nechimuti plus kutora maVoters from the opposition… kana tichichaura batai mazwi kuitira mangwana.

The first is a screenshot reflecting your stated position regarding the USD 40,000 disbursements to Members of Parliament, which you categorically described as "bribery." The second attachment is a video featuring a former senior official from your party, articulating an explanation of the aforementioned loans, indicating that Members of Parliament affiliated with your party were also beneficiaries. The third video depicts Gift Ostallos Siziba elaborating further, affirming that these loans had indeed been deliberated upon within the CCC and that a consensus had been reached regarding their repayment thereby suggesting an official party endorsement under your leadership. It is at this juncture that I seek clarity: did Ostallos and the aforementioned official act in contravention of your directive, utilizing party branded materials bearing your image to disseminate positions that directly contradicted yours? #ZimElection2023 DR THOKOZANI KHUPE WITHDRAWN FROM CONTESTING PROF MTHULI NCUBE IN COWDRAY PARK AND REDEPLOYED TO TOP CCC SENATE PROPORTIONAL REPRESENTATION PARTYLIST In a new twist to what was promising to be a Battle Royale in the 23 August harmonised general election – between the much adored Dr Thokozani Khupe and the odds-on favourite Finance Minister Prof. Mthuli Ncube – for the honour to represent Bulawayo’s Cowdray Park constituency in the National Assembly, Dr Khupe has been withdrawn and put on the top of CCC’s Bulawayo metropolitan province’s Senate proportional representation party-list, on which Prof Welshman Ncube is number two after her. While the new twist is on the back of what has manifestly become an indefinitely prolonged, opaque, dysfunctional and centrally manipulable CCC “candidate selection” process underwritten by intrigue and uncertainty, Dr Khupe, who has not been seen in public doing active politics for some time, is in fact not feeling her best; and good sense appears to be finally dawning on all and sundry that it would be just too much and even cruel to have her slug it out in what is most definitely going to be a gruelling election contest. Makhupe is not well, and this is not a secret to those close to her. That’s why right from the start, the understanding and her expectation was that she would be on a party-list for either the women’s quota or the Senate. But overzealous yet cowardly self-appointed CCC apparatchiks afraid of taking on Prof Mthuli Ncube then conspired to come up with Machiavellian claims that Dr Khupe was the only one in CCC who could “defeat” Prof Ncube in Cowdray Park. Meanwhile – as captured in the attached audio – a hurriedly convened and chaotically organised CCC “candidate selection caucus” for Cowdray Park run by a nervous team from Harare, had already “selected” Dr Khupe in her absence as the party’s National Assembly candidate for the constituency. Out of a paltry 342 “voting” CCC activists – some of them who were not registered as voters – Dr Khupe was “selected” by just 222 in a constituency that had 24, 403 registered voters as of 30 May 2022, when the delimitation voters roll was closed. It is no wonder that – despite having touted its murky “community selection caucuses” some three months ago as an “innovative and democratic” candidate selection process in which communities would have the last word on the choice of their local authority and parliamentary representatives under the CCC banner, the latest CCC propaganda is that in fact, none of the community processes has the last say. This has left little if any doubt that the final word is with Advocate Nelson Chamisa who said last year that he would personally approve each and every nomination form for CCC local authority and parliamentary election candidates in the 2023 election who number some 2,440. Interestingly, Cowdray Park is a new peri-urban constituency in Bulawayo with three big wards: 6, 15 and 28 which are essentially ruralised. Since 30 May 2022, and especially after Prof Ncube’s candidature was confirmed, the constituency has registered very high numbers of new voters up 2 June 2023, when the voters registration was closed to enable ZEC to prepare the final voters roll for the harmonised general election on 23 August 2023!

While some MPs might be looking forward to how they can personally benefit from this, we have to ask ourselves, are we in Parliament to represent the people or ourselves? My biggest fear is the dangerous precedent this proposed amendment sets. If we treat our Constitution as a document we can easily alter for short-term convenience, we leave it entirely vulnerable. If we open the door to change it today, what stops the next group from coming in and changing it to 20 years tomorrow? We must protect the integrity of our laws. In recent years, groups like Hindus for Human Rights have become very vocal - claiming to speak for Hindus and using their privileged access to cancel authentic diaspora Hindu voices. But who is this group? Who advises them? Who are their allies? An analysis of their Advisory Board and publicly declared allies throws up some interesting contradictions. Call us crazy, but a group representing diaspora Hindus should be having advisors who are (1) diaspora and (2) Hindu. Hindus for Human Rights fails on both criteria. Not to mention some problematic actions & double standards that we lay out in this short video. Please read, share, amplify so that our policymakers understand that Hindus need to be represented by authentic Hindu only voices.

The wife of popular CCC supporter, MadziBaba VeShanduko has been denied fertiliser given to Zimbabweans through the Presidential program. She was told by the officials on the ground that the President’s office gave an instruction that she shouldn’t get the fertiliser because her husband supports the opposition. The opposition must organise a relief fund to assist such victims in order to break the cycle of ZANUPF patronage politics. You empower your supporters so that they remain resolutely behind you, when others on the fence see that you can be helped when victimised, they too will switch sides openly. ZANUPF did what it does best, using State funds to retain support and punish those who support the opposition. However we can’t continue complaining as citizens, clever people organise starting with MadziBaba’s wife. CCC must set up a Victims Fund which will be openly audited and every cent accounted for, it should cater for such people as MadziBaba’s wife. You have to change the game because ZANUPF won’t change!
