Is the 'deployment gap' in CJ Koome's security detail just a convenient excuse for the government? If there was truly an issue, why wasn't it addressed proactively? This smells like a cover-up for deliberate action.

There’s no scheme whatsoever to undermine Chief Justice Martha Koome or the Judiciary. What happened was a matter of three police officers assigned to the CJ who had been promoted and were leaving for training. Our CJ is one of the most-guarded public officers with 32 security personnel assigned to her. Even with the three officers proceeding for training, she will remain with 29 at her service. We remain committed to providing security to all public officers who are entitled to it.
