Stoke Heath has around 60 homes, with plans being pushed to place up to 121 asylum seekers in the village. Shropshire Council says it does not know exactly who will be moved in and insists the decision is being made by the Home Office, not the council itself. Local residents are demanding answers about the impact on housing, services and the safety of their community. We must offer our support whenever it’s needed, as with Crowborough.
