"It's not about going out and onboarding shops. It's about onboarding one shop and then playing detective and finding out what they are doing with the sats that they are receiving." Local MP Mark Pritchard has raised concerns in Parliament about Home Office plans to house asylum seekers in Stoke Heath, near Market Drayton. Stoke Heath has around 60 homes, with plans being pushed to place up to 121 asylum seekers in the village. Shropshire Council says it does not know exactly who will be moved in and insists the decision is being made by the Home Office, not the council itself. Local residents are demanding answers about the impact on housing, services and the safety of their community. We must offer our support whenever it’s needed, as with Crowborough. This is unacceptable.
