Clashes have erupted between the National Guard, a Druze paramilitary group, and the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the countryside of Suwayda, southern Syria. According to local reports, injured National Guard members have been transported to the National Hospital in the city of Suwayda for treatment.

Clashes continue this morning in Suwayda, between the Druze & the Syrian regime forces. Overnight the Israeli army bombed additional Syrian regime positions in Daraa, southern Syria. It seems that Israel wants the Druze to control the south, and don't trust Jolani on this.

The moment they entered the city, the U.S. Ambassador to Syria announced a ceasefire agreement between Syria and Israel, and called on both the Bedouins and the Israeli-backed Hijri Druze militia to lay down their weapons. Israel had already declared that it does not want any Syrian military presence in Quneitra and Suwayda. If this agreement ensures the Syrian army remains absent, then The goal behind activating the Israeli backed Druze militia was twofold: 1•To provoke a war with the Syrian government (failed) 2 - To restrict all weapons to the Syrian state, a state that is not even allowed to maintain a military presence in Quneitra and Suwayda (if that is what the agreement states). This move mainly targets the Hourani tribes, who had previously clashed with the Israeli army as it advanced toward their villages and halted its progress in the Daraa countryside.
