Khanna: That’s my real issue with JD Vance. Why are you hurting the education funding that made both your life and mine possible? We need to fund public schools in this country, especially in working-class neighborhoods. You can’t call yourself the party of the working class and then take away funding from schools that serve working-class kids. You can’t call yourself the party of the working class and then say a working-class kid who wants to go to college shouldn’t be able to get loans or scholarships to do that.
