My first car in the 90s was almost this exact truck, and I can verify. Speed bumps had no sway over me at 45 mph. Lack of power steering was a bit of a problem after I put 32” tires on it though.

Ugh… fords always bring me back to my roadside assistance days… that’s a truck that’ll turns up the most, and leaves you on the side of the road forever because the tow truck needs super special equipment for the huge ones… then you got mr man screaming like a girl about it

One of my favorite commercials is where they used scenes from the movie ‘Mr Majestyk’.

Well, this threw me off. California didn’t have 7-character plates until 1980 (and they were not this format; they were “1ABC123”). Weird choice for a fake TV plate. Did any US state have 7-character plates in 1969-70?
