The IDE was a layer of abstraction over the file system. Claude Code is the next abstraction over the IDE. You're still coding — you're just doing it at the level of intent rather than syntax. The thinking hasn't changed. The expression layer has.

the person who built the tool uninstalled their IDE because of their own tool and that is either the ultimate product testimonial or the most poetic ending to a career in manual coding

Well, same here, but reached a point that can’t build anything anymore on @Replit without connecting a proper memory system like @SelfClaw 🥲

Claude Code creators are the best bro

True. Using it on daily. Are you running yourself ?

boris is everywhere in my tl rn, haha

@atmoio 🤣

I appreciate Boris open sourcing Claude Code. Even if it was accidental due to no one reviewing Claude’s code output.

Full episode ?

100% Claude written code, no IDE, that's next level bro.

the IDE thing sounds crazy until you actually try it. Claude just handles so much context now that jumping back to manual edits feels slow

legendary share movez 🫡

everyone's looking at the setup. but what if you zoom out?

Of course, he doesn’t have to pay for the tokens!

Yes, it is really free, but many people pay money for these lectures

Yeah. So true bro. Boris shipping free alpha

haven’t written a single line of code for 9 months

Legend. Are you building your own product?

Yep

I was looking to buy Claude Pro tonight

Writing a simple workflow locally is trivial. What I really wanted was to be in the loop.

This Boris Claude Code drop is straight fire uninstalled the IDE and 100% AI-written is Next level. Already testing the loops + dynamic workflow on my own stuff. Appreciate you pulling the podcast alpha

master in claude code

Uninstalling the IDE is the easy part. The hard part is the review loop that catches what the model confidently gets wrong at 2am when the task has 17 implicit constraints.

if you know what claude is doing i don’t see why claude shouldn’t be writing all the code.

thanks for the interview, i'll watch it today

The IDE going away makes sense. The new constraint: you still need to understand the output well enough to catch the wrong assumption in line 200. Verification is slower to delegate than writing was.

Worth more than a $500 vibe-coding course. The creator of Claude Code giving away his entire daily setup for free in a podcast. The course sellers are not having a good week.

nice paper! it is what i am look for!

这已经有点像把 IDE 当启动器用了

Interesting glimpse into how AI-native development is evolving. 👀

not there yet but getting close. the IDE is mostly a viewer now for me, not the input layer. that shift happened faster than i expected

@nikitabier @X watching this and realized there should be live comments on the vid. Not just comments but like interactive threaded comments.

We need more of this alpha

Claude Code loops sound like real leverage

feel bad for anyone still stuck on manual coding, times are shifting and you gotta roll with the new tools
